Fee Protection Policy for International Students
Rationale:

Queen Charlotte College Board of Trustees is committed to meeting all the requirements of the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. The Board of Trustees Fees Protection Policy will ensure that there are sound fiscal mechanisms in place to protect students' investments

Monitoring and Development:

The Finance Committee monitors the implementation and development of this policy. The Finance Committee may initiate further development of the policy and must have an input into any policy change initiated by any other group or individual. The Board of Trustees will adopt any revised policy if it sees fit.

Procedures:
  1. International Students' fees are separately coded and audited.
  2. International Students' fees are not spent in advance on the premise that future students will attend the college.
  3. The Board will always have sufficient reserves to be able to return to students their fees in the event of a student refund being required, or because the school is unable to provide or continue a course or programme.
  4. All International Students attending the college must have insurance. This insurance will include health and travel, and a fee protection policy.
